Elda M. – No Label Brewing Company 1.4

Our rating: 1.4

In this week’s episode, the Six Pack Team eagerly cracked open a pack of Elda M. Milk Stout by No Label Brewing Company in Katy, Texas. No Label has a great crew working for them, and they clearly love what they do, but something tells me someone fell asleep on the job after partying a little too hard the night before when they made this batch. We had high hopes for this brew.¬†Stouts are usually rated forgivingly with this group, and this was the company that put out El Hefe, after all. However, this beer not only fell short of expectations, but it down right face planted. It tasted like a mix of ashes and sour milk. We even gave it another shot later once the beer had gotten up to room temperature to see if it deserved another review, but it just didn’t cut it. Maybe next season.
