Heritage Coffee Brown – Alaskan Brewing Company 3.6

In this week’s episode, the Six Pack team popped the top on a pack of Heritage Coffee Brown by Alaskan Brewing Company in Juneau, Alaska. Simply put, it’s an ale attempting to be a porter, and though it doesn’t quite hit the mark of being a porter (as it shouldn’t). However, it comes as no surprise that in seemingly trying to be something more than it is, it has resulted in an exceptional ale with a delightful coffee aroma and taste that manages not to overwhelm the rest of the roasted cocoa flavor.
