Hop Slice Summer Ale – Deschutes Brewery 2.3

Our rating: 2.3

In this week’s episode, the Six Pack Team cracked open a pack of Hop Slice Summer Ale by Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon. This ale is brewed with refreshing lemondrop hops and is intended to have a pleasant mix of floral and citrus notes with a side of caramel and malt. However, thoughts on this beer ranged considerably among the team. It most definitely hits the mark for a light beer that won’t weigh you down on hot summer days at the beach, but it has an off-putting smell that doesn’t pair well with its taste unless you’re Anastasia who characterized the flavor as “like feet” and we’re pretty sure judging by her rating that she didn’t mean that in a good way.
