Imperial Java Stout – Santa Fe Brewing Co. 3.4

Our rating: 3.4

The Imperial Java Stout by the Santa Fe Brewing Company in Santa Fe, New Mexico claims to be great all day long, and the SPP team definitely agreed. However, I don’t know that any of us will be substituting this with our regular morning coffee. SFBC takes great care to bring fresh quality ingredients into the making of this beer.

They use East Timor and New Guinea beans that are locally roasted allowing the coffee taste of the beer to not only have the kick of your morning cup, but also the velvety smoothness of that specially crafted cup from your favorite specialty shop.

Not to be outdone by the coffee in this beer, SFBC brings together American and British hops along with black roasted malt for a variety of flavors and levels that leaves you wondering if they broke the laws of physics putting this much flavor in one beer.
