The 13th Amendment: The One Lost to Time

Have you heard of the lost 13th amendment? Probably not.

After a suggestion from a listener and friend, we did some research on the Lost 13th Amendments and came up with some interesting results. This amendment stated that no person with a title of nobility from another country would be eligible to serve in public office. It was well on its way to ratification when…something happened. The history books don’t mention this amendment, but there is plenty of information to be had on the subject. It is even a matter of contention as to whether or not the amendment ever passed.

While recording this episode, we realized that we didn’t have the full story, even after our research, so we conceded ignorance and promised to bring the topic back when we had more information.
